It’s official, Canopy Creative Marketing’s website and blog is finally live! We are so excited and cannot wait to spread the word!
A Little About Us
Canopy Creative started as the in-house marketing department for Valpak of Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. (For reference, Valpak is direct marketing company best known for their direct mail coupons. You know, the big blue envelope of local and national coupons you look for at the beginning of every month). Although Valpak does a tremendous job of reaching consumers and driving them to advertisers, it became apparent that Valpak clients were in need of additional marketing services to complement their Valpak campaigns; they needed help with graphic design projects, social media strategies and training, search engine optimization, website design, and more.
Katie and I were and are the Marketing Coordinators at Valpak of N. Colorado & S. Wyoming. We are tasked with promoting Valpak to local consumers and business owners and we make sure our Marketing Advisors have the information and materials they need to properly demonstrate the value of Valpak to prospective and current clients. However, as more and more Valpak clients began expressing their need for additional marketing support (many just don’t have an in-house marketing team to assist them), Katie and I began devoting more time addressing their needs above and beyond the regular services provided by Valpak. From there, Canopy Creative was born. Canopy Creative fills the marketing “gap” Valpak clients often encounter, and we provide the “full-canopy” of marketing services to our non-Valpak customers.

Who We Are
Katie is a Colorado transplant. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Katie graduated from Buffalo State with a degree in Public Communication and an emphasis in graphic design. Katie relocated to Fort Collins in early 2012, and although she sometimes complains about the dry climate, she has certainly fallen in love the area.
Katie handles a variety of marketing projects and campaigns for Canopy Creative clients and is the go-to for all social media marketing inquiries and graphic design work.
When Katie’s not in the office, she often hiking the local trails with her camera in tow, exploring all the dining options in Fort Collins and Loveland, or walking with her springer spaniel, Riley.

Originally from Wyoming, I attended UW where I majored in Communication and minored in Marketing. As much as I like Wyoming, I always knew I BELONGED in Fort Collins, and I made the move shortly after graduation. I have been a marketer since 2007 and have experience in event planning, copywriting, graphic design, search engine optimization and much more. I work closely with Katie to help make sure our clients have the plan, materials, training, and resources to achieve their marketing goals.
When I’m not at the office, you can usually find me out and about with my husband, daughter, and our small dog. If I’m not spending time with my cute little family, chances are I am wandering around Target, latte in hand.
